Baseball glove restoration at Blank Bros is a full de-lace, clean, condition, and relace — not a structural rebuild. We take the old laces out, clean and re-moisturize the leather the right way (no oil), and replace every lace in the color(s) you pick. Fresh full-grain rawhide, even tension, a glove that can close again. It’s the honest fix for a glove that’s gone stiff, dried out, frayed, or floppy — current gamer or the one that’s been sitting in the garage for a decade. You’ll still break the glove in with use.
Average turnaround is about 7–10 business days from when we receive your glove (about 10–12 for break-ins). We try to accommodate rush orders when we can, but we can’t guarantee them.

The baseball glove relacing process
This is the same job we run on every full restore — infield, outfield, catcher’s mitt, first base mitt, baseball or softball.
- Inspect and photograph. We look at leather, lining, web, and where the laces have stretched or snapped so we know what the glove can take.
- De-lace the whole glove. Every run comes out — web, heel, fingers, and wrist — so the leather can actually get clean and the new lace can hold even tension.
- Deep clean, no oil. Dirt, sweat, and old product come off. We do not oil the leather. Oil soaks in, adds weight, and shortens the life of the hide.
- Condition the leather. Moisture goes back in with professional conditioner (Ball Player’s Balm). That can reawaken dried-out hide — it is not a game-ready re-break.
- Re-lace with fresh rawhide. Full-grain rawhide, your color choice — classic tan or custom. Tension is set so the glove can close, not so tight it locks the hinge.
- Ship it home. Return shipping is included. You’ll still break the glove in with use.
What restoration does not include
Full restore is de-lace, clean, condition, and relace. We may reawaken the leather with a proper clean and condition, but we do not re-break the glove to your wear style as part of this job. Why not just oil it?
Because oil is the fastest way to ruin a good glove. It soaks in, adds weight, and breaks down the leather over time. We clean the leather and put the moisture back the right way — with professional conditioner, not oil. A glove that’s cared for properly plays better and lasts longer. That’s the whole point.
